It was stupid to have come here. She knows that now, but she hasn’t even worked long enough to afford a plane ticket back home. And she knows that if she does quit after she’s made just enough to cover a ticket, then it will be another failure in her failed life, and it will be like she never even left at all. So she’s stuck here, for one year which is what she signed on for back in America,
