According to Herald Media and the Joongang Daily the assailant said to the police that there was some confusion and that he thought the 61-year-old man, a Mr. Seon, was demeaning black people. The Joongang quotes the police saying, “The suspect said that he felt humiliated by Seon’s words, and it really fired him up,” a Bundang Police official said. “He didn’t deny the assault, so we will charge him soon without detention.” In addition, the man said he’s willing to apologize to Mr. Seon.
Shortly after 2 p.m. on August 25, courtroom 404 got on with the day’s docket when three male judges entered the narrow, stuffy courtroom and all present stood. Among those present in the 32-seat gallery were four U.S. soldiers in fatigues, a group of Korean men in suits and several attorneys with assistants.
In what seemed like a few seconds, a door on the right side of the courtroom opened and out swung Andre Fisher, dwarfing the men in blue who encircled him. Fisher swiveled his head side to side, glancing around the room with his eyes raised toward his furrowed brow. It was a look of suspicion, anxiety, insecurity and fear. He took two large steps to the table—he stood between his attorney, Lee Jang-han, on the right and a JAG attorney on his left—and placed his handcuffed hands on the surface which was too low causing him to slouch over more.

Next to these were the learners, slowly swimming across the middle of each lane in a desperate attempt to go five metres without sinking. I felt for them in their desperate attempt to master the aquatic and their inability to master breathing and a full stroke at the same time. I also felt for them as they received most of the scorn from the old women brutally scrutinising all that passed by.

3WM attended Pvt. Fisher’s appeals hearing at the Seoul High Court where a visibly distraught Fisher had his appeal dismissed in six minutes. A vocal Fisher was escorted from the courtroom after saying, “I didn’t do anything…this shit is wrong…stop fucking pushing me.”
Fisher’s attorney told 3WM he will meet on Friday to discuss an appeal to the Supreme Court with Fisher.
